Better late than never. The quilt containing reminders of the most important people in my life to date is finally made. And it hasn't quite missed this years winter weather. I'm smug and snug now.
Thanks! They are mostly bits and bobs that stopped fitting me or were donated to the fabric stash by my friends, but some were bought for other projects. Also a couple were samples requested by friends from fabric catalogs (like the one with the cave painting deer on, which reminds me of having to spend summer holidays in Caves in France and Spain looking at prehistoric art instead of eating ice-creams in the sun!) - you can get some small pieces of really lovely stuff this way. The V&A fabric sale is also usually pretty good value.
I love that this colorful concept of reminders in the form of patchwork fabric also keeps you warm. How did you collect these pieces? They are lovely!
