John and Lucy's Wedding Blanket

I am really pleased with this quilt, as it contains lots of the owner's history in it. Bits of clothing from childhood, Indian prints (where they got engaged), family tartans and a piece of Lucy's wedding dress. I think the lace squares in the thick border work well too.

Holly's Birthday Blanket

Made for my cousin's 18th Birthday in record time (5 days). Exciting, I know. This one has a pastel-coloured border made exclusively of her childhood or relevant family fabrics. In particular lots of fabrics from things belonging to our aunt whom Holly takes her middle name from. I think borders work well. Backed with light weight ribbed cotton blanket. Another quilt, another terrible image of it. Sorry.

Liz and John's Blanket

I tried out a new style for this one, because I thought the recipients might prefer a more traditional design. It includes pieces of fabric from their parents to help hold on to the memories in one place without needing to keep hold of everything separately.
Backed with wool in two colours. Please excuse the pictures - they are terrible. Be happy there are no footballs still in shot!

Ayten, Dan and Sonny's big blanket

I have been meaning to make this one for a long time. Some of the squares are going back to their original home - Ayten is a talented lingerie designer (http://www.aytengasson.com) who had given me most of the bright silks which liven up the quilts. Sonny was the reason I started making the quilts in the first place, and luckily he seemed quite happy to have another bigger one in his house.

Enjai-sized pouffe

For his second birthday, my friend said that her son would love a seat which is JUST FOR HIM, so that no-one else can sit on it. It is 20cm cube (which should be about right once it has some weight on it), with side zip to add or remove padding (you can use scrunched newspaper or old clothes cut up, as fabricated stuffing does not go very far at all on something more solid and is not as firm to sit on).

Dan and Mike's Quilt

This is a great picture. Doesn't she look warm? Great Christmas present idea guys...

Soozy and Ben's Quilt

A wedding present for some friends, trying to use more brick and purple in this one.
